ISO 9001 – International Standards Organization

ISO 9001 is a certification that formal processes are being used within a company for their management of quality control. This includes monitoring processes, maintaining complete and accurate records, checking for defective output, taking action to correct defects, and continual internal reviews for effectiveness.
 

CWB – Canadian Welding Bureau

An organization with a CWB certification standard ensures that the welding procedures covering all joints, processes and positions used in fabrication/erection are current and approved by the CWB, and that weld quality and workmanship are up to the levels specified by the design or product standard. Each CWB certified company is required to employ an adequate number of Welding Supervisors, with welding related experience, to control welding operations.
 

COR – Certificate of Recognition Program

The Certificate of Recognition Program is an occupational health and safety accreditation program that verifies a fully implemented safety & health program which meets national standards. The objectives of COR are to provide industry employers with an effective safety and health management system to reduce incidents, accidents and injuries as well as their associated human and financial costs.
 

CRN – Canadian Registration Number

CRN is a quality program for the fabrication, installation and repair of Pressure Piping, Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Oilfield Equipment and the installation and repair of Boilers. The program is regulated by the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner.
 

CTEA – Canadian Transportation & Equipment Association

The Canadian Transportation Equipment Association ensures all members conform to the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act (CMVSA) and it’s Regulations and Standards. While the CMVSA is the primary focus, the Association also helps Members comply with other legislated transportation requirements.
